Prior to forming The Carlton Sloman Group, Veronica worked in a diverse range of industries including utilities, public sector, manufacturing and telecommunications. Since forming the Group, she has developed a particular passion for working in the challenging and competitive IT and Telecoms sectors.

Whilst skilled in most areas of HR, her specific skills lie in HR strategy, resourcing and employee relations. These skills have enabled her to make meaningful contributions to all sizes of organisation from start-up through to global players.

Ian's corporate HR career was spent working for a number of leading City investment banks. His experience has spanned roles in Employee Relations, Training and Development, Employment Law and HR strategy.

He regards himself as a 'hands-on' practitioner working with companies to get the best out of their people using performance management and appraisal techniques. However, he also enjoys the challenge of working alongside senior management as a facilitator in such areas as strategy and culture.

Liz Fisher MCIPD (M.Ed.)

After several years as a teacher in South America, Liz joined the training and development department of a City investment bank where she operated as an in-house training specialist.

As an independent HR Development Consultant, Liz has undertaken diverse assignments such as: training and competence policies for City firms regulated by the FSA, managing graduate recruitment campaigns, general training needs analysis and training policy development. She is qualified as a psychometric assessor and delivers management and personal development skills courses for The Carlton Sloman Groups.

Jan Hester

Jan has worked in the field of Compliance since 1990 and has particular expertise working with investment management and private equity companies. Prior to her Compliance activities she worked in a number of Finance Sector roles such as UK and International Fund Management Administration and Consumer Credit Card operations. Therefore she is keenly aware of the importance of recognising the needs of the business and its clients whilst operating within the regulatory framework.

Jill Hodge

A former Senior Marketing Executive in the Investment Management Industry in the City, Jill changed to a full-time career in IT and IT training in 1998, having previously lectured computer applications part-time at Minchenden Business Centre in North London.

Jill is an experienced and enthusiastic trainer in Microsoft Office applications. Her other interests include tennis and scuba diving.

Maureen Renouf FCIPD (Dipl. Sociology and Psychology)

A former HR Manager with a leading global telecoms company, Maureen has undertaken projects across a range of HR activities but has particular expertise in compensation & benefits, recruitment and TUPE regulations. She has conducted IT salary/benefits surveys specifically in the small to medium-sized organisations where attraction and retention of highly skilled individuals is a real issue.

Roger Doughty - Financial Controller

Roger joined us shortly after retiring as Head of Cost Reporting and Control for a leading City investment bank. He is the Financial Controller for the business and is responsible for all of our finances including invoicing, payments, payroll, VAT returns and our financial and management accounts. Roger is a keen golfer, trout and salmon fisherman and runs an allotment in his spare time (obviously too much spare time on his hands!).
