Performance Management - focussing effort and measuring progress

Performance Management is a framework that we believe is one of the cornerstones of a successful business strategy. It provides:

  • employees with a clear understanding of what is expected of them in terms of job role - their duties, the performance levels to be achieved, to whom they report etc.
  • managers with a framework from which to judge performance, set new objectives for subsequent review and identify the training needs to meet the required standards of performance and

Some companies also use the output from Performance Appraisal as one of the factors in deciding rewards (i.e. salary, bonus, and promotion).
